What am I? I'm absurd. That goes without a word. Bully me don't waste your time. Try to guilt me like I've done a crime. Charity I don't pay a dime. I shall never shed a tear. Unless I pretend to have fear. Anger me you'll lose an ear. I honestly don't care about your average jeers. If you hadn't guessed by the rhyme. I'm a waste of time. Pitiable to some. A monster to others. Put in a place that does really appeal to me. That does not have any entertainment for me that isn't frowned upon. Where I have to put in needless effort into pretending to be like my coinhabitants. Who always hold me back. But... What if... My co-inhabitants... Were something I could easily get rid of? What would happen if I did? ________________________________ Mary Azazel Doner was born into a cult. Not exactly the peaceful type. No animal sacrifices, or money stealing. But it gets most of its money from drug dealings. Brainwashes others convincing them to stay. Has a man who's considered a prophet. Polygamy. Child brides. Forced marriages. Heavily enforced religious customs. Everything that makes a cult, a cult. Mary always knew she was different. She didn't comprehend the people around her. But she was good at pretending that she did. Most people like her would've left, or manipulate, maybe even kill. But she had it drilled into her head since her beginning, to be a perfect little doll. Even if she had to pretend to be one. And that there was nothing else to life than to what you were introduced too. Yet, she still set the mask aside from time to time. Sometimes indulging in the activities she knew that we're punishable. But she was honestly bored of this endless rut. Then one day, she ventures to the borders of her home. Only to find contact with a world kept secret from her. With newfound information at her fingertips. A deadly plague is released onto the unsuspecting people of her home. Beware. She's not the little lamb. She's the wolf
